Trips

The app's main object

A trip is the main object in the app. It brings together routes, points, finances, tasks, notes, files and your packing list all in one place. Your entire journey — under one cover.

Trip list

The "My Trips" page shows all your trips as cards and a table. For each one you can see: dates, countdown to departure, task progress and budget status (paid / planned). Trips are organised into tabs.

Types of trips

  • Current (upcoming) — everything still ahead or happening right now.
  • Past — marked automatically once the end date has passed.
  • Drafts — sketches without fixed dates. Great for capturing ideas on the fly. To turn a draft into an active trip, open edit mode and untick "Draft".

Fields when creating

  • Name — e.g. "Italy — Rome and Amalfi".
  • Dates — start and end of the trip. For a draft these can be left blank.
  • Currency — used as the default for budget calculations. Each point can override it.
  • Map type — affects appearance only (several OpenStreetMap styles available).
  • Number of adults and children — needed to calculate the cost per person.
  • Include in travel history — if enabled, countries from this trip will appear on the world map and in the passport in the Statistics section.

Trip actions

Via the menu (⋯) on a trip card you can: edit, copy (duplicate with all routes and points), publish and delete. You can also copy someone else's trip from the Catalogue — it becomes yours and you can change it freely.

Bober tip

Travel the same route often? Copy a past trip — the route structure and packing list carry over, and you just need to update the dates.
